Celebrating the city’s brightest thinkers and creators

In 2025, Brisbane celebrated the city’s trailblazers across business, innovation and entrepreneurship at the 20th annual Lord Mayor’s Business Awards.

Set against a backdrop of record economic momentum and growing national attention, the Awards were a defining moment to spotlight the innovators shaping the foundations of a global city preparing for 2032.

Aruga was engaged to elevate the Awards’ presence by delivering widespread media coverage that celebrated finalists and winners and positioned Brisbane as one of Australia’s most exciting places to start and grow a business.

Through strong storytelling and strategic news-making across earned editorial and paid media partnerships, Aruga helped transform the Awards from a single Gala event into a multi-week narrative celebrating entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation.

The campaign cemented the Awards as Brisbane’s most prestigious business accolade and a key platform for championing the city’s brightest thinkers and creators.
