Driving sustainable action

Brisbane Sustainability Agency

Connecting Brisbane with purpose-led storytelling

Sustainable BNE Festival is a city-wide celebration designed to inspire Brisbane residents to embrace more sustainable ways of living. Its organiser, Brisbane Sustainability Agency, engaged Aruga to help elevate awareness for the annual event and forge alignment for its core values through storytelling.

With a crowded events calendar competing for attention, the challenge was to make Sustainable BNE Festival stand out and attract locals, families and community groups. To achieve this, Aruga delivered a campaign spanning media relations, influencer partnerships, content creation and stakeholder engagement.

Through local media coverage, trusted Brisbane creators and strong storytelling, the campaign generated widespread awareness across the city, boosting attendance figures. The festival reached new audiences, encouraged community participation and reinforced its position as one of Brisbane’s leading sustainability events.
