Aruga is proud to announce our partnership with one of the world’s boldest creative gatherings, The Design Conference (TDC), returning to Brisbane Powerhouse from 18–20 June 2025.

Now in its 15th year, TDC is more than a design event – it’s a dynamic platform for creative minds to connect, share, challenge and grow. Featuring 22 keynote speakers from 12 global cities including New York, Cape Town, Oslo, Jakarta and San Francisco, TDC brings the world to Brisbane and showcases Queensland on a global stage.

This year’s line-up includes renowned place-maker Andrew Hoyne, neuroarchitecture pioneer Adi Cohen, South African branding visionary Daniel Ting Chong and nine-time world bodyboarding champion Mike Stewart, who offers a powerful perspective on mindful practice and creative performance.

Aruga Co-Founder Adam Brunes said The Design Conference was a platform that aligned strongly with Aruga’s purpose and values.

“The Design Conference champions creativity, connection and courageous conversations,” Brunes said.

At Aruga, we believe in the power of storytelling to inspire action and shape culture, and those values are at the heart of what TDC delivers.

As a Brisbane-born event with international influence, TDC represents the kind of bold, world-class creativity that Aruga is passionate about supporting.

“The Design Conference stands as a testament to the calibre of creative talent emerging from Queensland,” Brunes said. “It’s a homegrown success story that’s now setting the standard globally.”

Aruga Co-Founder Donna Kramer said the partnership reflected a shared commitment to inclusivity, authenticity and impact.

“Together, we’re removing barriers, celebrating big ideas and empowering the creative community to think differently, speak openly and design with purpose,” Kramer said.

We’re thrilled to play a role in helping amplify TDC’s impact as it continues to shape futures – personal, professional and planetary.

With the world’s attention turning to Brisbane in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, TDC is part of an electric cultural groundswell.

“Aruga is proud to contribute to this movement by helping to share the stories and creative voices that define it,” Kramer said.

We’ll be on the ground at Brisbane Powerhouse throughout the event and will host a preview breakfast for media and industry leaders in early June. Stay tuned as we spotlight the people, ideas and conversations at the heart of TDC 2025. For information and tickets, visit thedesignconference.com.au
