Five years shaping Brisbane’s story

For five years, we have had a front row seat to Brisbane’s rise, working alongside Brisbane Economic Development Agency to help shape how the city is seen and experienced.

Brisbane is not standing still. It is Australia’s fastest growing capital, on a global trajectory, with the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games on the horizon.

From day one, Aruga’s task has been clear: help position the city as a destination of choice for visitors, investors and business events while staying true to what makes Brisbane distinct.

Established as an always on PR function, the partnership has focused on sustained visibility rather than moments alone, immersing media in the city’s energy, evolution and ambition.

We think we’re Brisbane’s biggest fans and then you meet a company like Aruga

Our first work together coincided with the reopening of interstate borders, a defining moment for the city and its visitor economy.

Since then, the remit has expanded. What began as proactive PR now sits within a broader partnership, with support across content, social, copywriting and strategic communications provided on an as needed basis.

Our focus has remained deliberate:

  • Target the writers who shift opinion.
  • Find the stories that reveal the city’s edge.
  • Bring businesses together to tell a more powerful, collective Brisbane story.

Five years on, the story is still unfolding and we are proud to be helping tell it.
