It Takes Heart, an unmissable new podcast series from Cornerstone Medical Recruitment (CMR), unearths spellbinding storytellers from across the globe to take listeners on a remarkable journey through the healthcare community and the people who provide compassion and care.
The podcast is hosted by CMR’s CEO and Co-Founder Samantha Miklos and Head of Talent & Employer Branding Kate Coomber.
“There are so many incredible people within our healthcare community and by giving them a platform to share their honest and unique stories, we hope to inspire others to take opportunities they might not have considered,” Samantha said.
“We are excited for It Takes Heart to shine a light on communities across Australia and the exceptional healthcare workers who support them every day.”
Samantha, an Occupational Therapist, and her husband Norbert, an IT professional, founded CMR in 2012 after identifying a gap in the market for a healthcare recruitment agency that covered a wide range of specialties.
Kate was the couple’s first employee and today, CMR is growing a team of compassionate and resourceful professionals who match health professionals from across the globe with their dream jobs.
You may not be able to change the world, but you can change the world for one person. ”
Season One of It Takes Heart launches on 24 July with new episodes every fortnight on Spotify and Apple.
Guests include a husband-and-wife team who serve as surrogate parents to members of a tiny remote community; a neurodiverse dentist who strikes a balance between caring for her patients, her family and herself; a midwife who travels the country, collecting stories as her souvenirs; and a UK nurse who relocated to outback Australia and was embraced by Indigenous community members.
Reflecting its ethos of care, CMR donates $500 on behalf of every podcast guest to a charity of their choice.
