Australia's First Year-Round Beachfront Cabana Club Launches

Tangalooma Island Resort has unveiled Australia’s first year-round beachfront cabana club, Tangalooma Dunes Cabana Club, that will open this Spring in partnership with Carnival, transforming the iconic Moreton Island destination.

Perched on the golden sands of Tangalooma Beach, Tangalooma Dunes offers a front-row seat to one of Australia’s most spectacular coastal escapes, designed to hero the destination’s natural beauty.

Featuring 20 private cabanas available for day hire, the cabana club will deliver an elevated yet effortless beachfront experience ideal for relaxing, reconnecting, and soaking up the sunshine.

Whether for a day trip or an extended island stay, Tangalooma Dunes will redefine coastal leisure with a distinctly Australian feel, cementing Tangalooma as a must-visit for destination for both domestic and international travellers.

Each architecturally designed cabana comes fully equipped to have an easy, elevated day at the beach, featuring:

Seating for up to 8 guests including bench seating with a central table for food and drinks
In-cabana fridge to keep beverages and share platters cool throughout the day
Adjustable shutters and fan to control cooling and privacy for all day comfort
A secure base to relax and unwind between island adventures
The cabanas are wheelchair accessible ensuring all guests can enjoy the beachfront experience with ease

The Tangalooma Dunes Cabana Club is part of a broader commitment to elevating the quality and diversity of visitor experiences across the region, ensuring Queensland is ready to showcase its very best to a global audience ahead of 2032.

Created in partnership with Carnival Corporation, guests sailing on Carnival Cruise Line’s Sydney-based ships, Carnival Splendor and Carnival Adventure, can book the premium beachfront cabanas to enjoy on their day ashore at Tangalooma Island Resort.

Carnival Corporation Country Manager, Peter Little said Carnival is excited to expand its partnership with Tangalooma Island Resort to bring this Australia-first offering to its cruise guests, setting a new benchmark for shore experiences.

The Tangalooma Dunes Cabana Club cabanas are also now available to book for special events, product launches and conferences. Individual bookings will be available from mid-to-late Spring 2026with costs commencing from $240 AUD for a full-day hire (9am – 5pm).
