The Star Gold Coast has welcomed the first residents and guests to Tower 2, a major new addition to Broadbeach Island and the latest offering from The Star Residences.
Rising 65 stories above the Gold Coast skyline, Tower 2 introduces 437 new residences and accommodation options to the island while making a new collection of premium apartments available to visitors for the first time.
Designed to combine the flexibility of apartment living with the services and amenities of a luxury resort, The Star Residences offers a distinctly different way to experience the destination, pairing self-contained accommodation with daily housekeeping, dining services and access to the broader experiences of The Star Gold Coast.
The Star Gold Coast CEO, Ameet Patel, said the opening represented an important milestone for both the precinct and the broader visitor economy.
“The opening of Tower 2 significantly expands the accommodation offering available on Broadbeach Island and represents an important milestone in the continued growth of the precinct,” Mr Patel said.
With the completion of Tower 2, the broader precinct will comprise more than 2,000 rooms, strengthening the Gold Coast’s ability to attract visitors, major events and new tourism opportunities. ”
Positioned within walking distance of Pacific Fair, the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and Broadbeach’s beaches, the new tower offers guests and residents direct access to some of the city’s most sought-after lifestyle and entertainment experiences.
Residents and guests can move seamlessly between apartment living and resort life, with an array of signature and casual dining restaurants including Garden Kitchen & Bar, award-winning restaurants Kiyomi and Nineteen at The Star, The Star Theatre and recreational facilities all on their doorstep.
Many apartments capture sweeping views stretching from Coolangatta in the south to the northern waterways, offering a perspective of the Gold Coast usually reserved for the city’s highest vantage points.
While Broadbeach Island offers plenty to discover beyond its doorstep, some of the property’s most impressive experiences are contained within the building itself.
Across Levels 22 and 23, residents and guests have exclusive access to a collection of elevated recreation and lifestyle spaces designed to complement apartment living.
The sky-high retreat includes a 23-metre swimming pool, outdoor entertaining and barbecue spaces, a private dining room complete with dedicated kitchen and preparation facilities, fitness and wellness areas, resident lounges and a steam room and sauna overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Together, the spaces have been designed to function as an extension of the apartments themselves, providing places to entertain, work, unwind and connect high above the city.
Head of Strata and Asset Management, Jessica Wilkie, said the appeal of The Star Residences lies in the unique combination of space, service and location.
“The Star Residences offer something genuinely different. Guests have the space and flexibility that comes with staying in a fully self-contained apartment while being located in one of Australia’s most iconic destinations,” Ms Wilkie said.
Whether it’s daily housekeeping, dining services through The Star at Home, access to our recreation decks or being able to walk to some of the Gold Coast’s best dining, entertainment and lifestyle experiences, it’s a very unique way to experience the destination. ”
“Tower 2 also introduces three-bedroom Ocean Sky Villas to our short-term letting pool, creating an exciting new option for families, groups and longer-stay guests.”
With the opening of Tower 2, Broadbeach Island further cements its position as one of Australia’s largest integrated resort destinations, bringing the precinct’s resort and residential portfolio to more than 2,000 rooms and strengthening the Gold Coast’s capacity to attract visitors, events and investment.
Tower 2 forms part of The Star Gold Coast’s long-term masterplan, with approvals in place for a further three towers as Broadbeach Island continues to evolve as a mixed-use residential, tourism and entertainment precinct.
The first stage of Tower 2 includes apartment settlements from Level 44 upwards, together with the building’s arrival experience and private recreation decks, with further apartments becoming available progressively over the coming months.
