We’ve all been there: you come home from grocery shopping and find you forgot to buy something. Frustration! Now you have to go back to the supermarket, right? Wrong.
In this glorious age of app technology where services exist at the press of a button, VOLY is the on-demand supermarket you need, delivering groceries to your door in 15 minutes for a flat fee of $2.99.
VOLY is Australia’s newest on-demand supermarket, offering a carefully curated selection of more than 2,000 products – from bananas and baby food to biscuits and bubbly – all at retail prices.
The VOLY app is the brainchild of entrepreneurs Mark Heath and Thibault Henry who believe you shouldn’t have to pay extra for speed, choice and convenience when you buy groceries.
“From the point of pressing the button on your VOLY app to 15 minutes later, we’re at your door with all your groceries,” Mr Heath said.
VOLY’s user-friendly interface puts the supermarket in the palm of your hands, making grocery shopping simpler than ever with an easy-to-navigate catalogue of products. Browse the shelves for something that takes your fancy or head straight to the desired item with the search function.
The app lets you save your favourite items for easy purchasing in the future and can make suggestions based on your shopping habits, giving the user a fully personalised experience. You can also track your order in-app; all of VOLY’s delivery staff are fully employed, not contracted, and ride environmentally friendly e-bikes to deliver your groceries.
Think of it as cloud storage for your kitchen – you don’t have to worry about it, just know that it’s there and that you can get it at the tap of a button. Genius.
For now, VOLY is only available in six inner-city Sydney suburbs – Glebe, Haymarket, Ultimo, Waterloo, Redfern and Paddington – however the duo has plans to expand into every major Australian city as well as regional areas.
Whether you use it for a full weekly shop or just a few essential items, VOLY is a new alternative that gives consumers greater choice for buying groceries.
“We’re here to be a complementary service and provide people with another avenue to get their goods in a way that’s convenient,” Mr Heath said.
