An a-peel-ing start to summer at the Brisbane Markets Mango Auction

For the sixth year running, Aruga partnered with Brisbane Markets Limited to deliver a king-sized public relations campaign, achieving results worthy of a crown.

The annual Brisbane Markets Mango Auction marks the start of mango season with the symbolic first tray of the year auctioned for a good cause. The tray went for $32,000 in 2024 with all proceeds donated to Redkite and The Lady Musgrave Trust.

Aruga managed a morning of media at the event, securing attendance from Channels 7, 9 and 10, ABC Brisbane Breakfast, ABC Queensland Country Hour and Channel 7’s Sunrise, before making it to The Project.

Aruga also secured media coverage before and after the auction, with interviews airing across 4BC, Triple M, B105 and ABC Radio, plus in-print and online via The Courier-Mail, The Sunday Mail, The Land and more.

Thumbs Up

Aruga split campaign activity into two pillars, dividing our approach into consumer-facing coverage about the start of mango season and industry-led activity on the auction itself.

Peace Sign

With six years of Mango Auction experience under Aruga’s belt, we delivered our media morning with maximum efficiency.

Ok

Aruga’s media approach leant heavily on the event as a ‘good news story’, helping to cut through the noise of the daily news cycle.
