Celebrating heritage charm with contemporary flair

The opportunity to rebrand and rebirth a beloved heritage property doesn’t come around often, so when we got the big call up from the small town of Orange, we didn’t hesitate to say yes!  

In October, Travellers Group took over the leasehold of the much-loved Byng Street Boutique Hotel, looking to reimagine it with a fresh, contemporary identity. Aruga was tasked with delivering a comprehensive rebrand, including a refreshed visual identity, logo development, and detailed brand guidelines encompassing logo usage, colour palette, and brand applications. We also crafted a distinctive tone of voice and positioning statement to ensure the property resonated as Orange’s new favourite boutique destination. 

Now proudly known as Yallungah Boutique Hotel, this rebrand marks an exciting chapter for the property and coincided perfectly with the launch of Aruga’s dedicated design division, Aruga Studio.

Brand Positioning

Aruga crafted a new positioning and tone of voice for the revitalised brand, weaving magic, consistency, and sophistication into its messaging. The refreshed identity highlights the hotel’s unique blend of heritage charm and contemporary flair, ensuring these qualities resonate across all guest touchpoints and marketing communications.

Logo Design

Aruga crafted a distinctive visual identity inspired by the hotel’s iconic façade, incorporating window silhouettes into a refined, contemporary logo. The typography balances tradition and modernity, with an upscale serif font for the brand name and a sleek sans-serif for supporting text.

Marketing Collateral

Aruga developed a cohesive suite of core assets to support the property’s relaunch, ensuring the revitalised brand extended seamlessly across every touchpoint. This included designing property signage, core stationery, in-room materials, and marketing collateral, all crafted to create a consistent and engaging experience for guests.
