Rewriting the narrative for Brisbane Writers Festival 2024

Aruga put pen to paper, delivering a record-breaking public relations campaign for Brisbane Writers Festival for the sixth consecutive year in 2024.

Working with leading international, Australian and local authors including Samantha Shannon, Louise Doughty, Anita Heiss, Holly Ringland and Dann McDorman, Aruga harnessed our extensive national and state-wide media relationships to cultivate talent opportunities resulting in 763 media clips, making the 2024 Brisbane Writers Festival one for the history books.

The 2024 publicity campaign resulted in a dazzling 37% year-on-year increase in overall media coverage and helped the Festival attract more than 15,000 visitors across the four-day event.
