Tourism and Events Queensland
When Aruga was tapped to drive public relations, digital marketing, social media and consumer communications for Brisbane Cycling Festival, we put pedal to the metal.
Despite the pandemic putting the brakes on proceedings for two years in a row, we made sure Australia’s biggest multi-discipline cycling festival sprinted to the front with national and statewide coverage for the action-packed program of races, events, expos and entertainment.
We supported Tourism & Events Queensland with stakeholder liaison, updated communication collateral on the fly and created paid and organic social media that put a new spin on Brisbane as a cycling hub.
social media reach
Working responsively with the Brisbane Cycling Festival and TEQ team to create and implement a comms, PR and social advertising strategy as COVID restrictions changed.
Implementing a strategic social strategy that focussed on building and maintaining the Brisbane Cycling Festival community to increase event awareness and attendance in future years.
Hosting high-value media during the festival including NewsCorp, News Regional Media and 9Honey to not only build a greater understanding of the event and its offering, but showcase Brisbane as the holiday destination of choice for cycling enthusiasts.
